U-VOL Foundation

Our Story

U-VOL Foundation was born from the unwavering commitment of Dr. Faith Adole, a frontline nurse leader who witnessed, up close, the pain and inequity faced by communities lacking access to basic healthcare. Long before founding U-VOL, she dedicated herself to volunteering both locally and globally—serving unhoused communities, supporting medical missions, and offering health education wherever the need was greatest.
Moved by compassion and inspired by her faith, she began with small acts of service—offering street medicine in Southern California and organizing wellness workshops for women and families experiencing homelessness. What started as a grassroots movement grew into something far greater.
Driven not only by the urgency of need but also by a deep desire to deliver quality programs and elevate healthcare standards, she envisioned an organization that would go beyond short-term aid to create sustainable, community-empowered solutions. In 2015, that vision became U-VOL Foundation: United Vessels of Love.
Since then, U-VOL has expanded from feeding and treating unhoused neighbors in California to partnering with clinics and communities across the globe—addressing maternal health, clean water, health education, and more.
Today, U-VOL continues to serve with compassion, build sustainable solutions, and amplify the voices of the most vulnerable—living up to its name as a true vessel of love.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to help meet the unmet healthcare and wellness needs of underserved communities through medical outreach, health education, clean water, sanitation, women’s empowerment and other healthcare sustainability projects.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to build dynamic relationships and partnerships with people, communities, and organizations to create global healthcare and wellness initiatives to lessen existing healthcare disparities worldwide.

The Heart of U-VOL

We lead with love. Our work is grounded in empathy, cultural humility, and a commitment to restoring dignity through health and service.

We don’t just provide relief—we build people. From training midwives to uplifting volunteers, we invest in local leaders and amplify the voices of women and underserved communities.

We believe meaningful change happens together. By partnering across borders, disciplines, and cultures, we co-create solutions that reflect the needs and strengths of each community.

We’re here for the long haul. Our programs are designed to outlive us—whether it’s a solar-powered water system or a local team equipped to carry the mission forward.

We honor our commitments to the people we serve, the donors who trust us, and the mission that drives us. Transparency and stewardship are at the heart of everything we do.
